STUDIO RELEASE
Apple Pie
Alison Cromie, Singer-Songwriter, Mn
30 November 2016
I have been wanting to record my new music for months now, but hadn’t had the funds to pursue it until recently. But now the wait is over, and I have my first studio release of a piece of music I wrote.
I wanted to take what I had previously recorded for Apple Pie and simplify it. The upbeat country feel it had before was almost too much, and something I couldn’t reproduce on my own during performances. I started working on a fingerstyle version in late October to give it a more acoustic feel. Then, in late November, about a week before my booked time at the studio, I made another change, picked up a guitar pick, and changed it again.

The recording took place at Humans Win Recording Studio in Minneapolis, Mn.
It’s no secret that I’m not the best guitar player. I’ve only been playing for two years. I’ll get better over time, but even this is a far cry from where I started. The process of recording the guitar part was frustrating for me, but I am happy with the result even if it’s not perfect.

The song will be available shortly on all major music distributors, however, if you visit my Bandcamp page, you can download it for free. When you download via Bandcamp, you are given the option of whether or not to pay for the single. I leave this up to you. Any funds collected will be put towards more recordings. Share it far and wide. I hope you enjoy it.
